What’s New?

December 23 to January 6

Hello reader, welcome back. I took a little hiatus after the submission window for RABBLE REVIEW No.10 closed. The week we closed was a holiday week here in the United States, so I was very busy. And November 27th was my birthday. Then I caught a cold, it wasn’t too bad, but I didn’t really feel like updating the newsletter, or the site, or anything. But I’m back and feeling slightly energized but still very tired because the holidays (as of this writing) are very much still in full swing. But rest assured that the work on the new issue has begun, and we are going to be kept busy reading through the over 200 submissions we received. If you submitted work, thank you. It is going to take us awhile to read through the submissions so we appreciate your patience.

We have some big plans for 2026. Will we execute on all of them? That remains to be seen, but I’m making every effort to make sure it happens. I want to have more gatherings, host more livestreams, and get more people to read our journal. And I’d love to add another editor (or two) to our team. There is a lot of work that goes into these things, but I have been excited by the growth we have experienced this year and I want to keep that going into 2026 and beyond. We launched two new issues, we relaunched our website, and we had a successful live show. And of course we added a new editor to our ranks. Thank you all for reading and being a part of that journey.

This will be our last post of the year. I kind of wanted to do an end of year wrap up style blog post, but I’m tired. This year was exhausting. There was a lot of good as I mentioned earlier, but there was a ton of headache, heartache, and ache ache. Ow.

A few reminders: If you are a past contributor and you have something you want to promote then please email me. I want to update the Contributor Corner next week with new projects. They can be either upcoming projects or existing work you have out there that you want to promote. We offer this to any contributor whose work we have published.

Our Work of the Week won’t be updated on Friday for the next two weeks. We’ll get back to the usual schedule after we usher in the new year.

And if you’re only a reader please make sure to read our ninth issue if you haven’t already. If you have read the issue then please send it to your friends, family, pets, neighbors, guy you see on your commute every other day, and so on. Your readership means so much to us.
